MEET THE TEAM
With over 18 years of experience under his belt, Isra Batista is one of the original founders of River Bear Studios. Being a proficient multi-instrumentalist has always given him the upper hand when it comes to the production, recording and mixing of organic performances with real instruments.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Isra decided to move to Florida to earn his Bachelors Degree in Recording Arts and a Masters Degree on Entertainment Business. In 2017, Isra and his partners decided to open River Bear Studios as a haven for the musician that is looking for an alternative environment than the typical recording studio. Isra is Bilingual.
FUN FACT: Isra grew up as a wrestling fan. He loves to create entrance themes for local and international wrestlers. His wrestling themes have been played in over 30 wrestling promotions.
Originally from South Texas, Oscar Vinson has over 20 years of experience as a Music Teacher for several schools (K-12) within the Central Florida area. Oscar brings a unique set of skills as a composer, songwriter and performer. He is proficient in playing Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Saxophone, Keyboard and Vocals.
In addition to his amazing musical capabilities, Oscar is master songwriter. Writing for bands like Solid State, The Negative, A Fine Line, Anchor The Storm, Oscar has gained the trust from many musicians that enjoy and follow his songwriting skills. Oscar holds a Bachelor's Degree on Music and is currently in charge of our Education department.
Fun Fact: Oscar is an avid gamer of Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft.
As an affiliation between River Bear Studios and Silent Filter Studios, Rodrigo Garcia is taking care of our editing sessions. Earning his Bachelor's Certificate from RRFC, Rodrigo currently working as Audio Instructor at the Melrose Center, Rodrigo combines speed and attention to detail when it comes to the editing of a session.
After working with Grammy Award Winning Mastering Engineer Bob Katz and Grammy Award Winning Mixing Engineer Brunce Hensal, Rodrigo has learned to apply many techniques on his audio editing skills to make them precise. In addition to being a multi-instrumentalist, he is also our house drummer for metal music.
Fun Fact: Rodrigo is the most tattooed member of River Bear Studios.
Drum Technician/Live Engineer
Nate Testa is the official drum technician for River Bear Studios. After years of mentorship from Isra Batista, Nate learned how to make any drum set sound amazing. In addition to making our drums sound amazing, he also works as a live engineer for concerts and events.
Also Known as the "Snare Geek", Nate has toured the U.S. for various drummers and has been the number one technician for many local drummers, including sessions held at Full Sail University. His instagram presence is so active that many drum companies trust him with their gear for honest reviews. He is also our house drummer for contemporary music.
Fun Fact: Nate host a podcast called " Drum Tok" and became a consultant for drums, hence his other nickname: " The Drumsultant"
Matt Farrington was born and raised in Fairfield CT. He began to play the electric guitar at the age of 10 being a huge fan of classic rock. He would attend Fairfield Ludlowe High School and play several shows performing with various bands in this time.
He decided that he wanted to turn his passion into a career so he enrolled at Full Sail Univeristy at the age of 20 in 2020. He has spent that last two years learning and improving his craft.
Fun Fact: Enjoys playing guitar and loves creating house music. He only likes colorful sodas like Mountain Dew and Yellow Mellow.
